INGREDIENTS


115 GM Strong cheddar cheese

3 tablsp double cream

55 gm white breadcrumbs plus extra to coat

2 large eggs and one yolk only

55 gm melted butter

A little flour to coat

Seasoning

Deep fat for frying.





METHOD


Melt the cheese with the cream and add pepper and salt.

Add the breadcrumbs, butter and one egg plus the yolk that have been beaten together.

Stir until mixed and leave to cool and set.

Roll the mix into a long sausage about an inch in diameter using flour to stop sticking.

Coat in a little extra flour, beaten egg and breadcrumbs

Deep fry until a crisp golden brown.

Serve with a good home made tomato sauce or ketchup.
